Whether you've booked a couples session, maternity shoot, family photos, or you're treating yourself to solo portraits, this guide will walk you through exactly what to expect from start to finish.

I want you to feel excited, prepared, and at ease. My sessions are laid back, a little adventurous, and always focused on capturing you just as you are.

What to Expect


Every session is a little different, because every person, couple, or family I work with brings something beautifully unique. But, here's what is consistent no matter what:


  • A relaxed, candid experience.
  • Gentle guidance when needed, no stiff posing and saying cheese
  • Plenty of movement and laughter.
  • A mix of digital and film style edits, with a memorable and nostalgic feel.


I'll help you feel comfortable, and guide you through the session in a way that feels natural, not forced.

How to Prepare


You really don't have to stress. That being said, here are a few things to help your session run smoothly:


  • Be on time - the best light is fleeting, and every session is scheduled for a certain duration.
  • Pack the essentials - water, snacks (especially for kids), a backup outfit, and touch up items like a brush or lip balm.
  • Come with an open mind - we're capturing honest, real life moments, not perfection.

Optional things to bring to your session:


Want to make your session feel more like you? Here are a few optional extras that can make it more personal, playful, or meaningful:

  • A blanket for sitting shots or cuddling
  • A handwritten letter, ultrasound, or keepsake for maternity
  • Flowers, bought or handpicked
  • Champagne, picnic setup, or anything that adds a fun twist

What to Wear


I always recommend wearing something that makes you feel like you. Confident, comfortable, and free to move.


Here are a few quick tips:

  • Neutrals + earthy tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
  • Avoid logos or heavy patterns that might distract.
  • For couples/families: coordinate without matching exactly.
  • Textures (linen, snits, layers, lace) look amazing in photos.

After the Session


Within 2-3 business days, you'll receive your sneak preview gallery. These photos will resemble your final gallery. Your final gallery will be delivered within 60 days from your session date, unless otherwise discussed, via digital online gallery sent to your email. From there, you can download your images, and share your favorites.

Need To Know Details


  • 50% non-refundable retainer is due at booking.
  • Final payment is due by the day of your session.
  • As of right now, I do not travel outside the Dayton area.
  • No reschedules unless due to weather or illness.
  • Sneak previews are not guaranteed for smaller sessions.
